Welcome to the LJHSST website!
Who We Are
We are a club sport representing La Jolla High School in San Diego, California. While we are currently a small team, we love practicing our skills and competing in both SoCal regattas and the five big PCISA regattas. We're lucky to sail at Mission Bay Yacht Club, which provides nice wind under sun shine or foggy skies! We enjoy practicing our FJ boat-handling with other teams to make for larger, more competitve practices. We have lots of fun while sailing!
History
Resurrected in 2022, the newest iteration of the La Jolla High School Sailing Team (LJHSST) is in its third season of competition. The 2022/23 season found LJHSST qualifying for the Gold Fleet finishing the season 17th out of 66 teams. Last year, we finished 15th out of 72 teams. Having competed in every PCISA ranking regatta this season, we are presently ranked 25th out of 69 teams. We are really looking forward to more sailing!
Practices
Day: Monday and Wednesday
Time: 3/3:30-6/6:30 (depending on the time of year)

Are you a high schooler interested in sailing for La Jolla High School? LJHS Sailing welcomes students of all experience levels to join the team! While we love sailors who already have a bit of sailing experience under their belt, more importantly, the only thing required is an eagerness to learn!
